Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Geovânio Guerra started the match with the kick off. Donje-Ljubinje's Arthur Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 9thth minute of the game Amadeu Pinheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Antuerpia's Sidnei Marquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maurício Siqueira hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Sidnei Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Pinheiro in the 12th minute of play. If Arthur Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Geovânio Guerra took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Caetano de Castro to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arthur Gonçalves in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sidnei Marquez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Donje-Ljubinje booed when Antuerpia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovanni Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donje-Ljubinje's Guga Falcão couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Antuerpia. After a defensive mix-up in Donje-Ljubinje's zone, Geovânio Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caetano de Castro came out of the goal and Geovânio Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arthur Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Sidnei Marquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Donje-Ljubinje. Sidnei Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amadeu Pinheiro in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sidnei Marquez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
Amadeu Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Donje-Ljubinje defense, Luizão Mota kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caetano de Castro. The Donje-Ljubinje fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caetano de Castro should have stopped the shot. After 79 minutes, Geovanni Palmeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Antuerpia and the Donje-Ljubinje players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Antuerpia got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni Palmeira. Donje-Ljubinje's Guga Falcão shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 79th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sidnei Marquez but with some difficulty. In a very dangerous position, a player in Antuerpia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Donje-Ljubinje. Guga Falcão stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sidnei Marquez. 3-2. Sidnei Marquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arthur Gonçalves in the 90th minute. In the 97th match minute, Antuerpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. Guga Falcão, 98 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Many of Donje-Ljubinje's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Donje-Ljubinje may have spent more time on the ball, but Antuerpia were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
