Spectators: 7168 (Terracing: 5409, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 100) Deportivo La Corcunda's Aílton Félix started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Durvalino Chaves came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo La Corcunda's Clóvis Koehler. But to his dismay, Clóvis Koehler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Aílton Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aílton Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clóvis Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Durvalino Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, SC CORINTHIANS's goal looked a bit too open when Aílton Félix came free, but Durvalino Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Deportivo La Corcunda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Félix to maneuver through the defense. If Clóvis Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Aílton Félix came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Deportivo La Corcunda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aílton Félix couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Félix in the 34th minute of play forced SC CORINTHIANS's goalkeeper Durvalino Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glauco Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Durvalino Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Félix in the 46th minute of play. Durvalino Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aílton Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Délio Cabral to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Glauco Linares notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Deportivo La Corcunda's Manoel Torres. Manoel Torres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gilson Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Durvalino Chaves made a huge save. After 57 played minutes SC CORINTHIANS got a freekick which was hit by Glauco Linares. Aílton Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC CORINTHIANS's zone, Aílton Félix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durvalino Chaves came out of the goal and Aílton Félix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Eduardo Pena in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Durvalino Chaves saved SC CORINTHIANS from getting behind. With a little luck, SC CORINTHIANS's Durvalino Chaves got control of the ball when Aílton Félix tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Felippe Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Aílton Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 played minutes SC CORINTHIANS got a freekick which was hit by Valdo Pires. Deportivo La Corcunda's Aílton Félix got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Aílton Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo La Corcunda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aílton Félix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aílton Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durvalino Chaves having to interfere. If Carlos Eduardo Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aílton Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Durvalino Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deportivo La Corcunda's Aílton Félix was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 92nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Durvalino Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Félix in the 96th minute of play. Durvalino Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Eduardo Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deportivo La Corcunda's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
