A collision led to BRASIL getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Waldemar de Godoi hit a great ball. Gil Loyola blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ademar Saldanha having to make a save. Ademar Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. A collision led to Wolverine FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Vítor Fernandez hit a great ball. If Gil Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elano Torres made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Allan Mendes sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duda Cavalcante in the 18th minute of play forced BRASIL's goalkeeper Elano Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Allan Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wolverine FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! After having played for 36 minutes, Allan Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolverine FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ademar Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Salles in the 40th minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Eliseu da Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BRASIL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseu da Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gil Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Valdomiro Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ademar Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdomiro Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Ademar Saldanha made a huge save. Gil Loyola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in BRASIL's zone, Juvenal Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elano Torres came out of the goal and Juvenal Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ademar Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Loyola in the 64th minute of play. Wolverine FC's Manoel Vieira has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 65th minute. After a defensive mix-up in BRASIL's zone, Allan Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elano Torres came out of the goal and Allan Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Manoel Vieira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Valdomiro Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Allan Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Elano Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, BRASIL's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Mendes came free, but Elano Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elano Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Mendes in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Eliseu da Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BRASIL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wolverine FC the free kick. In the 90th minute, Eliseu da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdomiro Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing BRASIL would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
