With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Mendes in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Carlos Munhoz saved Ibiassuce EC from getting behind. After 17 played minutes Ibiassuce EC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Marquez. José Carlos Munhoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Mendes in the 21st minute of the match. Tadeu Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademar Saldanha having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Alexandre Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibiassuce EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Velasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ademar Saldanha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edinho Gaúcho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Ademar Saldanha made a huge save. Alexandre Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademar Saldanha having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Duda Cavalcante was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Wolverine FC got a freekick which was hit by Manoel Vieira. Alexandre Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tadeu Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademar Saldanha having to interfere. After some careless play in the Wolverine FC defense, Kaká Schmidt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ademar Saldanha. The Wolverine FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ademar Saldanha should have stopped the shot. When Alexandre Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Ibiassuce EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Velasco couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, Ibiassuce EC's Tadeu Trevisan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ademar Saldanha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Wolverine FC's Duda Cavalcante slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of José Carlos Munhoz. That made the score 1-3 after 81 minutes of play. 84 minutes into the match, Ibiassuce EC's Tadeu Trevisan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ademar Saldanha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 90th minute Alexandre Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademar Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alexandre Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Although Ibiassuce EC had been in control for most of the match, Wolverine FC still came away with the win.
