After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Valdomiro Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. BRASIL's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdomiro Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabinho Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Guilherme Arruda scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elano Torres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valdomiro Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Fabinho Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20thth minute of the game Luís Guilherme Arruda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BRASIL's Elano Torres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 22 minutes of play, Uberlândia Esporte Clube's Frederico Dantas made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elano Torres was left in no man's land by his defense there! Uberlândia Esporte Clube's Frederico Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Guilherme Arruda in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elano Torres saved BRASIL from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Luís Guilherme Arruda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elano Torres was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Luís Guilherme Arruda succeeded in the game's 38th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. After 63 played minutes BRASIL got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu da Silva. After a rather tough play, Uberlândia Esporte Clube's Luís Fabiano Urbano got a free kick in the 74th minute. Fabinho Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdomiro Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serginho de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, BRASIL's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Guilherme Arruda came free, but Elano Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute Luís Guilherme Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elano Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Frederico Dantas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elano Torres. BRASIL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frederico Dantas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Luís Guilherme Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
