The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6thth minute of the game Kléberson Saraiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IMW Aracruz F.C.'s Claudinei Teles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Claudinei Teles made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Matheus Cruz sent off a good shot on target. Kléberson Saraiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Claudinei Teles made a huge save. Matheus Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the match, IMW Aracruz F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson Saraiva came free, but Claudinei Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matheus Cruz got free with Claudinei Teles in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute, Periquito FC's Matheus Cruz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Kléberson Saraiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cleiton Rezende was extremely unlucky when he, in the 40th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 41st minute, Tony Abraão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matheus Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Claudinei Teles made a huge save. 45 minutes into the match, Periquito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Leão came free, but Pedrinho Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedrinho Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

In the 51st minute, Kiko Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kléberson Saraiva in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinei Teles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matheus Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute Tony Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubinho Leão received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedrinho Tande came out and tried to block the shot, but Rubinho Leão slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 65th minute. Kléberson Saraiva struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Claudinei Teles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Periquito FC. 70 minutes into the match, IMW Aracruz F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Matheus Cruz came free, but Claudinei Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Kiko Santana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IMW Aracruz F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Periquito FC the free kick. The supporters of Periquito FC booed when IMW Aracruz F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiko Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cleiton Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinei Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro de Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Pedrinho Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeca Camargo in the 77th minute of the match. Kléberson Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Claudinei Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. IMW Aracruz F.C.'s Claudinei Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matheus Cruz in the 80th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, IMW Aracruz F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson Saraiva came free, but Claudinei Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kiko Santana was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played. Kiko Santana hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute, Matheus Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Periquito FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Wellington Xavier hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the game, Periquito FC's Matheus Cruz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinei Teles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Periquito FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
