The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Valle got free with Claudinei Teles in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Jurumirim SC's Celso Marinho in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celso Marinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kiko Santana's late challenge caught a Jurumirim SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kiko Santana helped the player get up and apologised. Kiko Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Celso Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Claudinei Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinei Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 60th minute of the match Zézinho Hoffmann completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Zézinho Hoffmann a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 61 played minutes IMW Aracruz F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Hoffmann. Rubinho Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Koehler having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Jurumirim SC's Celso Marinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudinei Teles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Vicente Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind IMW Aracruz F.C.'s goalkeeper Claudinei Teles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. IMW Aracruz F.C.'s Claudinei Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Marinho in the 84th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, IMW Aracruz F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Celso Marinho came free, but Claudinei Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, one of IMW Aracruz F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for IMW Aracruz F.C.. If Vicente Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jurumirim SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of IMW Aracruz F.C. for a fine match.
