Alfredinho Dionísio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ahmet Ozan Ugraş went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Fernando Muslera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Fachinal getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Adelino Araújo hit a great ball. In the 28thth minute of the game Ahmet Ozan Ugraş who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fachinal's Alfredinho Dionísio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ahmet Ozan Ugraş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Club do Paudalho's zone, Albertinho Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Muslera came out of the goal and Albertinho Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernando Muslera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel de Queiroz in the 34th minute of the match. When Alonzo Poncio came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Sport Club do Paudalho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alonzo Poncio couldn't finish the play. Ezequiel de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Araújo in the 43rd minute of play forced Sport Club do Paudalho's goalkeeper Fernando Muslera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredinho Dionísio came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Club do Paudalho's Décio Salles. But to his dismay, Décio Salles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Ozan Ugraş to make the kick off.
