The supporters of Everest FC booed when Mararupa F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everest FC's Joel Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Rocha in the 16th minute of play. If Caco Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Caco Rocha might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joel Carneiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caco Rocha ran back to his position shaking his head. Joel Carneiro made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Fellipe Travassos sent off a good shot on target. Fellipe Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Carneiro having to interfere. Everest FC's Joel Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Everest FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Everest FC's Joel Carneiro got control of the ball when Fellipe Travassos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilson Bertassi struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. José Carlos Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Everest FC. When Flávio Valadares came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Everest FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flávio Valadares couldn't finish the play. Gilson Bertassi took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Carlos Pena. José Carlos Pena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ivo Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Carlos Pena having to interfere. The Mararupa F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Everest FC were winning 0-1.

Luciano Ramos hit a great ball. When Délio França fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mararupa F.C.'s protests and gave Délio França a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Mararupa F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio França to maneuver through the defense. If Flávio Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fellipe Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Joel Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrinho Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Mararupa F.C.'s Caco Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Gilson Bertassi took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for José Carlos Pena to make any attempt to save it.
