Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hortêncio Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Elivélton Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murillo Luz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Egídio Diniz in the 15th minute. Hortêncio Braga took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elivélton Costa. Elivélton Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cucuruto da Vovó's goalkeeper Elivélton Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hortêncio Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Ajax's Murillo Luz got control of the ball when Egídio Diniz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47thth minute of the game Rodrigo Mazza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cucuruto da Vovó's Elivélton Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Murillo Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fabiano Bertassi in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Fausto Zonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute Luís Fabiano Bertassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ajax's Murillo Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Furlan in the 56th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Cardoso came free, but Murillo Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Frederico Paraibano came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Ajax fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederico Paraibano couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Rodrigo Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ajax's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Mazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elivélton Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodrigo Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Costa having to interfere. Ajax were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
