The corner ended in Eliseu Pires almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cucuruto da Vovó's Elivélton Costa did a great save. 15 minutes into the match, Gilson Bertassi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elivélton Costa. Cucuruto da Vovó's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilson Bertassi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Everest FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Raimundo Cardoso scored to the left of an out of position Joel Carneiro, making the score, 2-1. In the 23rd minute, Egídio Diniz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Everest FC's Joel Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Cardoso in the 25th minute of play. Flávio Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th match minute, Cucuruto da Vovó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar Furlan to maneuver through the defense. Elivélton Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Valadares in the 28th minute of play. Joel Carneiro stood somewhat misplaced when Egídio Diniz came free in front of goal and shot 3-1 to the left of him in the 30 minute. Waldemar Furlan might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joel Carneiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waldemar Furlan ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Everest FC's Joel Carneiro got control of the ball when Egídio Diniz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The wind increased when Raimundo Cardoso made the kick off in the second half. But to his dismay, Egídio Diniz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 75 minutes into the match, Everest FC's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Diniz came free, but Joel Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egídio Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Everest FC's Gilson Bertassi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elivélton Costa. That made the score 4-3 after 97 minutes of play. Cucuruto da Vovó's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
