Ajax's Murillo Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilson Bertassi in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Gino de Carvalho came free, but Murillo Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Mazza in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Everest FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gino de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Everest FC's Joel Carneiro got control of the ball when Hortêncio Braga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rodrigo Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Mazza in the 29th minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Gilson Bertassi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Everest FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Rodrigo Mazza struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Joel Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ajax. In the 39th match minute, Everest FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Joel Carneiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frederico Paraibano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 42 minute of play. When Rodrigo Mazza came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Ajax fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Mazza couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Everest FC's zone, Bruninho Dante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Carneiro came out of the goal and Bruninho Dante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Flávio Valadares made the kick off in the second half. Hortêncio Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute Hortêncio Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Bruninho Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ajax's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruninho Dante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Carneiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fausto Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Joel Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rodrigo Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
