Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Caco Rocha made the kick off which started today's match. Egídio Diniz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of José Carlos Pena when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Egídio Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Carlos Pena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raimundo Cardoso's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. With a little luck, Mararupa F.C.'s José Carlos Pena got control of the ball when Egídio Diniz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Raimundo Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cucuruto da Vovó's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Carlos Pena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the match, Mararupa F.C.'s goalkeeper José Carlos Pena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egídio Diniz. When Pedrinho Motta fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mararupa F.C.'s protests and gave Pedrinho Motta a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cucuruto da Vovó booed when Mararupa F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Egídio Diniz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. José Carlos Pena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Egídio Diniz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but José Carlos Pena made a huge save. Caco Rocha scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elivélton Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Mararupa F.C.'s Pedrinho Motta got a free kick in the 34th minute. Raimundo Cardoso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 42nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raimundo Cardoso to strike the kick off in the second half. Raimundo Cardoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Carlos Pena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Raimundo Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Carlos Pena having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mararupa F.C.'s Cesinha de Souza got a free kick in the 58th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Cucuruto da Vovó's Adilson Pitta tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Cardoso in the 61st minute of play forced Mararupa F.C.'s goalkeeper José Carlos Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egídio Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Carlos Pena having to interfere. José Carlos Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Cardoso in the 64th minute of the match. When Egídio Diniz came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Cucuruto da Vovó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egídio Diniz couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Raimundo Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Carlos Pena was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fellipe Travassos got free with Elivélton Costa in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute Raimundo Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Egídio Diniz in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Carlos Pena saved Mararupa F.C. from getting behind. 97 minutes into the game, Egídio Diniz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. José Carlos Pena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cucuruto da Vovó fully deserved thier win.
