João Adolfo do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ernani Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Larizza getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Flamengo VM's Ramiro Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Roberto Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. Ramiro Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Rosado having to interfere. After 58 minutes, Zé Augusto Recife mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flamengo VM and the FC Larizza players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo VM's zone, Zé Roberto Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernani Barros came out of the goal and Zé Roberto Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, FC Larizza's Betinho Senna got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 84th minute, Sidney Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Larizza's Vitório Bittencourt shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 86th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ernani Barros but with some difficulty. Ramiro Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sidney Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Larizza were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Flamengo VM to leave the ground with a draw.
