In the 48th minute, Marcelinho Carvalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermínio Valle was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Caco Maciel made the kick off in the second half. Marco Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Philippe Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
