Túlio Miranda started the match with the kick off. In the 8thth minute of the game Felippe Silveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marmita Azeda FC's Yan Garcia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yuri Pontes charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yuri Pontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yuri Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Ademir Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Yan Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Rio Preto F.C. getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Romeu Peres hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernandão Siqueira got free with Luiz Fábio Araújo in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute Cristóvão Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Bastos in the 20th minute of play forced Marmita Azeda FC's goalkeeper Yan Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Cristóvão Bastos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cristóvão Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Túlio Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernandão Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fábio Araújo having to interfere. Luiz Fábio Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Túlio Miranda in the 30th minute of play. Túlio Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rio Preto F.C.'s Luiz Fábio Araújo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Rio Preto F.C. from getting a goal against them. Fernandão Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Túlio Miranda struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Luiz Fábio Araújo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marmita Azeda FC. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristóvão Bastos was the one to do the kick off. Rio Preto F.C. were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Marmita Azeda FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Silas de Alcântara took the corner. Ademir Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Yan Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rio Preto F.C.. Túlio Miranda struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Luiz Fábio Araújo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marmita Azeda FC. Marmita Azeda FC's Nestor Netto got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Fábio Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Túlio Miranda in the 70th minute of play. Túlio Miranda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Fábio Araújo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Rio Preto F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Túlio Miranda came free, but Luiz Fábio Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 played minutes Rio Preto F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Romeu Peres. 77 minutes into the game, Túlio Miranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marmita Azeda FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rio Preto F.C. the free kick. The supporters of Rio Preto F.C. booed when Marmita Azeda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Túlio Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germano Duarte took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luiz Fábio Araújo. Rio Preto F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Rio Preto F.C. getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Silas de Alcântara hit a great ball. Túlio Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Fernandão Siqueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Fábio Araújo was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Cristóvão Bastos struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Yan Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rio Preto F.C.. Rio Preto F.C. succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Marmita Azeda FC had controlled the match.
