Philippe Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Rubinho Borges had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Philippe Coutinho. Suits's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rubinho Borges was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Marcelinho Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19thth minute of the game Rubinho Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Suits's Philippe Coutinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sílvio Luís Vargas during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcelinho Bastos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 21st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Philippe Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Mazza in the 23rd minute of the match. If Marcelinho Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Vides in the 32nd minute of play forced Suits's goalkeeper Philippe Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Marcelinho Bastos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Suits's Philippe Coutinho did a great save. After a rather tough play, Apiaca SS's Ediberto Lopez got a free kick in the 37th minute. Pedro Luiz Vides's late challenge caught a Suits's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Luiz Vides helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes Apiaca SS got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Vides. Philippe Coutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rubinho Borges's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubinho Borges in the 48th minute of play forced Suits's goalkeeper Philippe Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Suits players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Apiaca SS were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubinho Borges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Suits's Philippe Coutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Borges in the 54th minute of play. After 57 minutes, Mário Mazza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Apiaca SS and the Suits players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mário Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Frank Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laércio Sampaio having to interfere. In the 66th minute of the match Suits got a corner. Apiaca SS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Remo Paraense ran over to the corner to take the kick. Suits's Remo Paraense was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Laércio Sampaio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Suits getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Cássio Ramos hit a great ball. After 80 played minutes Apiaca SS got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Vides. Mário Mazza took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Philippe Coutinho. Philippe Coutinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 96 minutes into the match, Suits's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Borges came free, but Philippe Coutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Suits supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Apiaca SS's performance. The match ended with a win for Apiaca SS.
