Carlos Fernando Salgado stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jânio Bittencourt. 0-2. Jânio Bittencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonel Paraibano hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Romeu Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jânio Bittencourt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Fernando Salgado in the 43rd minute of the match. Alexandre Azevedo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Edu de Sousa charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edu de Sousa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 minutes, Silas Rezende mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HellCat Top Team and the Pernas de Pau players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, HellCat Top Team's Silas Rezende got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 65th match minute, Pernas de Pau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Guerra to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of HellCat Top Team booed when Pernas de Pau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Gustavo Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Guga Ferreira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jânio Bittencourt. In the 84th minute Edu de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Vinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Pernas de Pau's Jânio Bittencourt got control of the ball when Silas Rezende tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silas Rezende struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Jânio Bittencourt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Leonel Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silas Rezende took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jânio Bittencourt. Jânio Bittencourt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. HellCat Top Team's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
