Somanuma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Eger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zinedine Platini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zinedine Platini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zachariasz Gardocki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertinho Mota in the 23rd minute of play. Albertinho Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Zachariasz Gardocki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute Ediberto Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zachariasz Gardocki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonel Messi might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardo Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonel Messi ran back to his position shaking his head. Evaristo Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Vale having to interfere. Caetano Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caetano Fernandes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 34 played minutes Somanuma got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Fernandes. Zinedine Platini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurício Lira during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ediberto Marques to strike the kick off in the second half. Bernardo Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes into the match, The Originals FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Porto came free, but Bernardo Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Senna in the 63rd minute of play. Bernardo Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Porto in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Eger in the 66th minute of play forced The Originals FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, The Originals FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Senna came free, but Bernardo Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
