Celsinho Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcel Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando Gaúcho having to interfere. After 69 minutes of play, Guzolandia AD's Váldson Sampaio made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celsinho Pontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Celsinho Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Fiori Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 78 minutes, Emílio Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guzolandia AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Váldson Sampaio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celsinho Pontes having to make a save. Francisco Tavares hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Emílio Barros scored 4-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celsinho Pontes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Balaco's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
