After 11 played minutes Number One got a freekick which was hit by Fernandão Linares. Vitório Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Number One's goal looked a bit too open when Geovânio Machado came free, but Róbson Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Róbson Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Vitório Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Number One's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitório Carioca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. César Botelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vitório Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 40 minutes into the game, Vitório Carioca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. César Botelho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Number One's Víktor Braga in the 67th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but César Botelho was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Londrina EC through an amazing save. In the last second César Botelho throw himself and got hold of the ball when Vitório Carioca in the 77thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Geovânio Machado's late challenge caught a Number One's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geovânio Machado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th match minute, Londrina EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovânio Machado to maneuver through the defense. Number One's Róbson Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo de Amaral in the 85th minute of play.
