In a very dangerous position, a player in Quissama SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! João Vítor Teixeira went to the wrong direction when Giovani de Lara was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Roberto Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. The wind increased when Paulo Arósio made the kick off in the second half. Henrique Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruninho Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. When Nilmar Mineiro fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quissama SC's protests and gave Nilmar Mineiro a yellow card for diving instead. Nilmar Mineiro hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinei Dante got free with João Vítor Teixeira in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes into the match, Foz do Iguaçu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Arósio came free, but Henrique Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Paulo Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Simão hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Claudinei Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Vítor Teixeira having to interfere. Quissama SC's João Vítor Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Quissama SC from getting a goal against them. Bruninho Rezende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrique Furtado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Foz do Iguaçu FC's Claudinei Dante got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Claudinei Dante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Claudinei Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Quissama SC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
