In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibirocaim SS's goalkeeper Marcinho Gerber, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Flavinho Palmeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Pedro Augusto Félix made a huge save. In the 27th minute, Lucas Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 29 minutes, Dudu Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marcinho Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuca Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Richard Paraibano hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

62 minutes into the match, Comercinho FC's Paulo José Marinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcinho Gerber narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
