Gláuber Sá was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felippe Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gláuber Sá having to interfere. Flavinho de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Neves having to interfere. Kléberson Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Neves having to interfere. Kléberson Medeiros's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joel Neves firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kléberson Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Joel Neves made a huge save. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Flavinho de Senna sped through Mixquita FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joel Neves. In the 33rd match minute, Palmas FR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavinho de Senna to maneuver through the defense. Agnaldo Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Palmas FR's Kléberson Medeiros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Neves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Felippe Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mixquita FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Felippe Bezerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gláuber Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agnaldo Esteves got free with Gláuber Sá in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute, Ivo Trancoso fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 62 minutes into the game, Guga Borges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palmas FR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mixquita FC the free kick. Guga Borges hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 63 minutes in the game, Felippe Bezerra dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The supporters of Mixquita FC booed when Palmas FR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavinho de Senna in the 69th minute of play forced Mixquita FC's goalkeeper Joel Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Kléberson Medeiros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joel Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Joel Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavinho de Senna in the 77th minute of play. Flavinho de Senna took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Neves. Joel Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Agnaldo Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gláuber Sá having to interfere. Palmas FR were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mixquita FC for a fine match.
