João Paulo Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chiquinho Guerra, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mixquita FC's Joel Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Gerber in the 24th minute of play. João Paulo Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felippe Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Tomé Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marquinhos Soeiro hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Agnaldo Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Mixquita FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ivo Trancoso hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Waldir Ortiz made a kick off. João Paulo Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felippe Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. João Paulo Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agnaldo Esteves in the 55th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Mixquita FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fábio Vaz. Alex Gerber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Joel Neves made a huge save. After having played for 64 minutes, Alex Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Terror Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 66 minutes in the game, Alex Gerber fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Joel Neves having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felippe Bezerra in the 70th minute of play forced Terror Futebol Clube's goalkeeper João Paulo Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 minutes of play, Mixquita FC's Agnaldo Esteves made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Paulo Garcia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felippe Bezerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Paulo Garcia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felippe Bezerra ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Agnaldo Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mixquita FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Agnaldo Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Paulo Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Terror Futebol Clube's João Paulo Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felippe Bezerra in the 83rd minute of play. If Felippe Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mixquita FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
