The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfredão Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavinho Palmeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gualter Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavinho Palmeira in the 12th minute of the match. After 16 played minutes Ibirocaim SS got a freekick which was hit by João Adolfo Pimenta. If Flavinho Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dé dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcinho Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredão Lucas in the 23rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredão Lucas in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcinho Gerber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th match minute, Nascente SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dieguinho de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Ibirocaim SS's Nicolas Moreira broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Alfredão Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcinho Gerber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dé dos Santos in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Nascente SS's zone, Elivélton Mesquita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualter Arce came out of the goal and Elivélton Mesquita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gualter Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavinho Palmeira in the 41st minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Dé dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Marcinho Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredão Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Richard Paraibano fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibirocaim SS's protests and gave Richard Paraibano a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Ibirocaim SS got a freekick which was hit by Richard Paraibano. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Dé dos Santos put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marcinho Gerber. After 71 minutes, Falcão Couto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibirocaim SS and the Nascente SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Falcão Couto kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Nascente SS's Iuri Severo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ibirocaim SS. After 75 minutes, Lucas Couto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nascente SS and the Ibirocaim SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 77 minutes, Flavinho Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibirocaim SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavinho Palmeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alfredão Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 minutes, Dieguinho de Toledo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nascente SS and the Ibirocaim SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nascente SS! Flavinho Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter Arce having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
