Luciano Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusébio Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Martino Villaro made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Kauan dos Santos sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Eusébio Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. BOTAFOGO SAF 2022's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Varela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. BOTAFOGO SAF 2022's Martino Villaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Paraíba in the 22nd minute of play. Kauan dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martino Villaro having to interfere. BOTAFOGO SAF 2022's Martino Villaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Paraíba in the 25th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Vaggelis Christodoulopoulos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luciano Varela was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. After having played for 33 minutes, Leo Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Silvinho Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Luciano Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luciano Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Carvalho in the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Eusébio Carvalho made the kick off in the second half. Eusébio Carvalho came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luciano Varela could save by the left post. Luciano Varela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusébio Carvalho in the 54th minute. After some careless play in the Pirapitinguy defense, Eusébio Carvalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luciano Varela. Pirapitinguy's Luciano Varela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Pirapitinguy from getting a goal against them. Silvinho Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Luciano Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clóvis Brodel charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clóvis Brodel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zé Augusto Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvinho Fontes hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Eusébio Carvalho sped through Pirapitinguy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luciano Varela. Luciano Varela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusébio Carvalho in the 79th minute. Enrique Paraíba's late challenge caught a BOTAFOGO SAF 2022's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enrique Paraíba helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pirapitinguy getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Enrique Paraíba hit a great ball. If Zé Augusto Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pirapitinguy's zone, Eusébio Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Varela came out of the goal and Eusébio Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luciano Varela stood somewhat misplaced when Silvinho Fontes came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 89 minute. After 94 played minutes BOTAFOGO SAF 2022 got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Carvalho. Pirapitinguy's Enrique Paraíba got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Enrique Paraíba off the ground. Enrique Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. BOTAFOGO SAF 2022's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
