When Enrique Paraíba fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pirapitinguy's protests and gave Enrique Paraíba a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pirapitinguy getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Enrique Paraíba hit a great ball. In the 8th minute Váldson Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Giovani Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Enrique Paraíba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Guilherme Moreira. SC GALÁCTICOS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrique Paraíba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of SC GALÁCTICOS booed when Pirapitinguy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tião Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reginaldo Peres, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. After 30 played minutes, SC GALÁCTICOS's Murillo Rocha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luciano Varela came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC GALÁCTICOS reached it. Kauan dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Luiz Guilherme Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kauan dos Santos might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Guilherme Moreira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kauan dos Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. If Kauan dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pirapitinguy! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kauan dos Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. When Kauan dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Pirapitinguy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kauan dos Santos couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, SC GALÁCTICOS's Luiz Guilherme Moreira got control of the ball when Kauan dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Moreira made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Kauan dos Santos sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th minute Váldson Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute of the match SC GALÁCTICOS got a corner. Pirapitinguy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Reginaldo Peres ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kauan dos Santos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Luiz Guilherme Moreira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kauan dos Santos took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Guilherme Moreira. Luiz Guilherme Moreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauan dos Santos got free with Luiz Guilherme Moreira in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tião Marques hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Giovani Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Varela having to interfere. Váldson Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 95 played minutes Pirapitinguy got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Vaz. Váldson Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Luciano Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pirapitinguy walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
