America Star's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Jean Moreira scored to the left of an out of position Fábio de Carvalho, making the score, 1-1. Oséias de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oséias de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Lopez in the 18th minute of the match. Sydney da Silva might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oséias de Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sydney da Silva ran back to his position shaking his head. Sydney da Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oséias de Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Jurumirim SC got a freekick which was hit by Jean Moreira. In the 23rd minute, Victor Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Victor Torres notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of America Star's Fábio de Carvalho. Fábio de Carvalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fábio de Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Torres in the 28th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Fábio de Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd match minute, America Star was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Jean Moreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luan da Cunha took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fábio de Carvalho. Fábio de Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-3. 91 minutes into the match, Jurumirim SC's goalkeeper Oséias de Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fábio Lopez. When Jean Moreira came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Jurumirim SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean Moreira couldn't finish the play. The Jurumirim SC fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Jurumirim SC's Luan da Cunha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Jurumirim SC had played much better football throughout.
