If Eusébio Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zé Augusto Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Sanches having to interfere. In the 20th minute Raúl Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martino Villaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrado Sanches read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Águia Azul Futebol Clube's Conrado Sanches got control of the ball when Eusébio Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martino Villaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Abraão in the 27th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Silvinho Fontes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Conrado Sanches quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 43rd minute, Ediberto Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mário Arantes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Martino Villaro. BOTAFOGO SAF 2022's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 46th minute, Chiquinho de Godoi made a precise shot to the right of Martino Villaro. BOTAFOGO SAF 2022's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Eusébio Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Conrado Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Carvalho in the 55th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Silvinho Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. BOTAFOGO SAF 2022's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvinho Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Sanches breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Eusébio Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Conrado Sanches was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. 59 minutes into the game, Eusébio Carvalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Conrado Sanches was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After taking down the ball on BOTAFOGO SAF 2022's corner Silvinho Fontes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Conrado Sanches quite easily take care of the ball. Martino Villaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raúl Abraão in the 80th minute. If Eusébio Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Dedé Vasconcelos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BOTAFOGO SAF 2022's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Águia Azul Futebol Clube the free kick. A collision led to BOTAFOGO SAF 2022 getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Dedé Vasconcelos hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute Chiquinho de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martino Villaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. BOTAFOGO SAF 2022 fully deserved thier win.
