In the 28th minute Renan Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Roger Pirani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caio Moreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Pink Floyd Team booed when Itibira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jefferson Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Marinho in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Charles Marinho made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Ramalho in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caio Moreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Charles Marinho took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jefferson Sarmento. Jefferson Sarmento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Marinho in the 62nd minute of play forced Itibira FC's goalkeeper Jefferson Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseu Quirino's late challenge caught a Itibira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseu Quirino helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Ramalho in the 72nd minute of play forced Pink Floyd Team's goalkeeper Caio Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
