Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Paulão Maranhense got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Paulão Maranhense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Félix didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clóvis de Sousa went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Caririmirim AD! Thanks to some nice moves Marcelo Valle could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Paulo Félix however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Real Sport Club booed when Caririmirim AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilson de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Clóvis de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Clóvis de Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Félix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Real Sport Club's Luiz Fernando Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão Maranhense in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute Denílson Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Félix made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Clóvis de Sousa sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 27 minutes, Nilmar Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caririmirim AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilmar Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Válter Montenegro hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Caririmirim AD's goal looked a bit too open when Denílson Vale came free, but Paulo Félix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Paulão Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caririmirim AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulão Maranhense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denílson Vale to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Paulão Maranhense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nilmar Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Caririmirim AD's Cauan Fontes got a free kick in the 61st minute. Válter Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance for a goal. 74 minutes into the game, Paulão Maranhense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luiz Fernando Mazza. Paulão Maranhense showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 81 minutes into the match, Caririmirim AD's Válter Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Fernando Mazza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luiz Eduardo Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Luiz Fernando Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilmar Nascimento hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
