Spectators: 7050 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luiz Paulo Monteiro kicked off to start the match. José Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmir Veloso in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Portel F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Betinho Moreira came free, but José Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Felipe Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Portel F.C.'s José Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio da Silva in the 19th minute of play. José Paiva came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Araras's Betinho Moreira. But to his dismay, Betinho Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Cordeiro in the 24th minute of play forced Portel F.C.'s goalkeeper José Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Juvenal Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Juvenal Baptista made a precise shot to the right of José Paiva. Portel F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Portel F.C.'s José Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Cordeiro in the 31st minute of play. Jeremias Lara made in the 38th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luiz Paulo Monteiro immediately put the ball in play. 42 minutes into the match, Portel F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Juvenal Baptista came free, but José Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, Araras's Walmir Veloso made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Paiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Portel F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Araras were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Cordeiro to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Portel F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Azevedo. Edmílson Veiga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but José Paiva firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeferson Ramalho in the 58th minute of play forced Portel F.C.'s goalkeeper José Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Portel F.C.'s José Paiva got control of the ball when Betinho Moreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71st minute Douglas de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléberson Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portel F.C.'s José Paiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Portel F.C. from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Baptista in the 75th minute of play forced Portel F.C.'s goalkeeper José Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Araras's Cipriano Cordeiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind José Paiva. José Paiva yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. José Paiva made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Betinho Moreira sent off a good shot on target. 84 minutes into the match, Portel F.C.'s goalkeeper José Paiva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juvenal Baptista. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Baptista in the 86th minute of play forced Portel F.C.'s goalkeeper José Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Paiva made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Betinho Moreira sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juvenal Baptista got free with José Paiva in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 92 minutes into the game, Diamantino Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Portel F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Araras the free kick. Diamantino Azevedo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match.
