The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the game, Evandro Meira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquim da Fonseca. Evandro Meira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 24th minute, Téo da Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 25 played minutes Itajiba got a freekick which was hit by Sabino Lago. After some careless play in the Itajiba defense, Mario Ramadhonna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquim da Fonseca. The Itajiba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquim da Fonseca should have stopped the shot. In the 31st match minute, Pouso alegre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célio Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Evandro Meira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquim da Fonseca was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Luiz Mattos made a kick off. Evandro Meira scored 6-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquim da Fonseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Evandro Meira might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquim da Fonseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evandro Meira ran back to his position shaking his head. When Pouso alegre's Evandro Meira in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itajiba's goalie prevented a goal. Joaquim da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Ramadhonna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 minutes, Evandro Meira made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Itajiba's Joaquim da Fonseca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 71 minutes in the game, Pedro Luiz Mattos fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Evandro Pena having to interfere. Jaime de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evandro Pena having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Evandro Meira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pouso alegre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. In the 79th minute, Evandro Meira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquim da Fonseca was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. After some careless play in the Itajiba defense, Evandro Meira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquim da Fonseca. Esam Al Ramzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pouso alegre's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
