Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Válbson Arantes kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 4thth minute of the game Doni Perez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itau's Ernesto Moreno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 5 minutes, Dalmo Alagoano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itau and the Jacareipe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Itau's Dalmo Alagoano got a free kick in the 5th minute. The attack was good, but when Doni Perez in the 6th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Doni Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jacareipe's supporters rose to their feet, but Doni Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Moreno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernesto Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 17th minute, Luan Rosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernesto Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doni Perez in the 18th minute of play. After some careless play in the Jacareipe defense, Virgílio Amorim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fernando Ceresso. The Jacareipe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fernando Ceresso should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute, Doni Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luan Rosa took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Moreno. Ernesto Moreno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 36th play minutes Luan Rosa shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Ernesto Moreno and just under the crossbar into goal. Doni Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Doni Perez made the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Jacareipe's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Ceresso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manfredo Magalhães. Válbson Arantes's late challenge caught a Itau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Válbson Arantes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Válbson Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luan Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Jacareipe's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Ceresso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manfredo Magalhães. Ernesto Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luan Rosa in the 78th minute of play. Doni Perez took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Moreno. Ernesto Moreno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After having played for 84 minutes, Luiz Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacareipe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luan Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ernesto Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doni Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Moreno having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Doni Perez made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Moreno. Itau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Luan Rosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Moreno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. Manfredo Magalhães scored 4-2 in the 101st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Fernando Ceresso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Jacareipe players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
