After 6 minutes, Ernani Lucas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baixio SC and the SOL DA PORRA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Baixio SC's Boyd Heathwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Ramalho in the 9th minute of play. Mário Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyd Heathwood having to interfere. Ernani Lucas hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Luiz Paulo Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Bruno Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, SOL DA PORRA's goalkeeper Bruno Goiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fernando de Sena. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Glauco Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SOL DA PORRA's supporters rose to their feet, but Glauco Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boyd Heathwood breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the game, Délio Pitta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baixio SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SOL DA PORRA the free kick. Glauco Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyd Heathwood having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Baixio SC's Luís Fernando de Sena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Goiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45th minute Mário Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyd Heathwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Luiz Paulo Vale dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bruno Goiano, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Paulo Vale made a kick off. After 55 played minutes Baixio SC got a freekick which was hit by Ernani Lucas. If Luís Fernando de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renato Pinheiro's late challenge caught a SOL DA PORRA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renato Pinheiro helped the player get up and apologised. Renato Pinheiro hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the game, Mário Ramalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Boyd Heathwood was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SOL DA PORRA's Bruno Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Couto in the 69th minute of play. Luís Fernando de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Fernando de Sena in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Goiano saved SOL DA PORRA from getting behind. 78 minutes into the game, one of SOL DA PORRA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Norberto de Queiroz walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Bruno Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fernando de Sena in the 81st minute of the match. Glauco Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boyd Heathwood read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, SOL DA PORRA's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando de Sena came free, but Bruno Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dito Couto might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Goiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dito Couto ran back to his position shaking his head. If Luís Fernando de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dito Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Baixio SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while SOL DA PORRA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
