Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Quadrada's Gino Salles started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ernesto de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfredo Magalhães in the 3rd minute of play. Ernesto Moreno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gino Salles's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. When Gino Salles came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Quadrada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gino Salles couldn't finish the play. Gino Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ernesto Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gino Salles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Moreno having to make a save. Quadrada's Gino Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Itau's zone, Ruy Porto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Moreno came out of the goal and Ruy Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Gino Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quadrada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gino Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Guilherme Vieira in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ernesto Moreno, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Itau's Ernesto Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Salles in the 40th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Virgílio Amorim made the kick off in the second half. Luiz Guilherme Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gino Salles in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Moreno saved Itau from getting behind. After 59 played minutes Itau got a freekick which was hit by Elias Eger. Itau's Ernesto Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Salles in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Itau booed when Quadrada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Amorim in the 70th minute of the match. Virgílio Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 minutes, Sebastião de Toledo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itau and the Quadrada players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gino Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Itau getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Dalmo Alagoano hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Luiz Guilherme Vieira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernesto Moreno was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. 85 minutes into the game, Luiz Guilherme Vieira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Quadrada had won after a very even match.
