After a rather tough play, Plataforma Futebol Clube's Romeu Mangueira got a free kick in the 46th minute. Dalmo Lopes struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Teodoro Terra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guataquara SS. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Conrado Cardozo to make the kick off. When Thomás Secco fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Plataforma Futebol Clube's protests and gave Thomás Secco a yellow card for diving instead. Thomás Secco kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 67th minute, one of Plataforma Futebol Clube:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Plataforma Futebol Clube. João Francisco Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conrado Cardozo in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Terra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Amadeu Trevisan came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Guataquara SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeu Trevisan couldn't finish the play. If Amadeu Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 99 minutes, Amadeu Trevisan put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Teodoro Terra. When the final whistle sounded Guataquara SS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Plataforma Futebol Clube.
