Freixal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thomás Secco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Romero in the 29th minute of play forced Freixal's goalkeeper Alberto de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Plataforma Futebol Clube booed when Freixal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes Freixal got a freekick which was hit by Edu Furtado. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elder Palmeira in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro Terra saved Plataforma Futebol Clube from getting behind. Elder Palmeira struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Teodoro Terra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freixal. Alberto de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizinho Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. That made the score 2-4 after 96 minutes of play.
