Alberto de Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ismael Jacinto's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Felizburgo's zone, Elder Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Eduardo Moura came out of the goal and Elder Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 20 played minutes Felizburgo got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Alagoano. In the 21st minute of the match Percival Pimenta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Eduardo Moura skillfully saved the ball. Ricardinho Soares took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto de Lima. Alberto de Lima dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Freixal's Elder Palmeira got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Freixal's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho Soares came free, but Alberto de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinícius Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Luiz Eduardo Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elder Palmeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Percival Pimenta made a precise shot to the right of Luiz Eduardo Moura. Felizburgo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Alberto de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Ismael Jacinto notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Freixal's Alberto de Lima. Alberto de Lima was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luiz Eduardo Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elder Palmeira in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elder Palmeira to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Freixal getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Dedê Lima hit a great ball. Ricardo Lopes struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Alberto de Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Felizburgo. In the 57th minute Ricardinho Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elder Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Eduardo Moura having to interfere. Alberto de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Eduardo Moura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elder Palmeira went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. If Elder Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Soares in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Freixal's Gualter Motta got a free kick in the 80th minute. Luiz Eduardo Moura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elder Palmeira's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute, Percival Pimenta sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Felizburgo's Luiz Eduardo Moura didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Soares in the 95th minute of play forced Freixal's goalkeeper Alberto de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
