After 16 minutes of play, Falcão Negro Futebol Club's Richard Ferraz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hamílton Luz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Falcão Negro Futebol Club were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Humberto Barral made the kick off in the second half. Gil Cosme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arí Félix went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 69thth minute of the game Ezequiel Matorin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Falcão Negro Futebol Club's Gil Cosme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Falcão Negro Futebol Club booed when Catetumbes F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doni Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute Richard Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richard Custódio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ezequiel Matorin charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ezequiel Matorin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ezequiel Matorin hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Fabinho Damião's late challenge caught a Catetumbes F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabinho Damião helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Falcão Negro Futebol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabinho Damião to maneuver through the defense.
