Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Erasmo Araújo kicked off to start the match. In the 29th match minute, Freixal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Roberto Viana to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the game, one of Freixal:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Acarape a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Olavo Sá, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Freixal's Alberto de Lima. 2-0. In the 35th minute, Víktor Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elder Palmeira in the 35th minute of play forced Acarape's goalkeeper Cássio Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Décio Queiroz hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elder Palmeira to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Elder Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Freixal's supporters rose to their feet, but Elder Palmeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cássio Bittencourt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cássio Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elder Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Cássio Bittencourt didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 58th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Elder Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Acácio Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Décio Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Freixal's Alberto de Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Araújo in the 87th minute of play. Décio Queiroz scored 3-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alberto de Lima, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute Acácio Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freixal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
