But to his dismay, Váldson de Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Váldson de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Erasmo Magalhães successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Genílson Santana got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rolante's Enio Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Váldson de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 39 minutes, Váldson de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RUNA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Váldson de Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Váldson de Godoi struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Adhemar Sampaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RUNA FC. Váldson de Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. Váldson de Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Adhemar Sampaio made a huge save. Erasmo Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 played minutes RUNA FC got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio de Moraes. After some careless play in the RUNA FC defense, David Loyola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erasmo Magalhães. The RUNA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erasmo Magalhães should have stopped the shot. 77 minutes into the match, Rolante's goalkeeper Adhemar Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Váldson de Godoi. Adhemar Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson de Godoi in the 80th minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, José Vítor de Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RUNA FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rolante the free kick. After a rather tough play, RUNA FC's José Vítor de Brito got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Despite being the better team, RUNA FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
