The audience thought a goal was coming when Zézinho Nogueira got free with Alan Almeida in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 5th minute Edu Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute Moisés Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alan Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés Secco in the 13th minute of the match. After having played for 14 minutes, João Paulo Furlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metolokos MZ Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Paulo Furlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edu Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Guilherme Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Veiarnodo FC's Waldir Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Freitas in the 23rd minute of play. Luís Guilherme Tróia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waldir Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Moisés Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edu Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Silveira having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Moisés Secco made the kick off in the second half. When Zézinho Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Veiarnodo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zézinho Nogueira couldn't finish the play. João Paulo Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Metolokos MZ Clube's Luís Guilherme Tróia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. 75 minutes into the match, Veiarnodo FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Furlan came free, but Waldir Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Veiarnodo FC's Olívio Mineiro got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute of the match Juan Prestes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Waldir Silveira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Edu Freitas might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waldir Silveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edu Freitas ran back to his position shaking his head. Moisés Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Alan Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If João Paulo Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Veiarnodo FC booed when Metolokos MZ Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, João Paulo Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Metolokos MZ Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Veiarnodo FC.
