Rolante's Adhemar Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Viana in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rolante's Carlos Eduardo Furtado got a free kick in the 7th minute. Nelsinho Bertassis short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Adhemar Sampaio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 12th minute, Genílson Santana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rolante fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Franklin Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Loyola in the 20th minute of the match. Franklin Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Santana in the 21st minute of play. If Genílson Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolante's Adhemar Sampaio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Rolante from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelsinho Bertassi got free with Adhemar Sampaio in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute, Nelsinho Bertassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 40 minutes, David Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rolante's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Loyola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franklin Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enio Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Santana in the 45th minute of play forced Bulhufas F.C's goalkeeper Franklin Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bulhufas F.C's goalkeeper Franklin Alves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

David Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Alves having to interfere. Nelsinho Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Adhemar Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Viana in the 70th minute of play forced Rolante's goalkeeper Adhemar Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Bulhufas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Genílson Santana came free, but Franklin Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adilson Moura got in the 75th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Adhemar Sampaio handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Baltazar Viana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adhemar Sampaio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After some careless play in the Rolante defense, Baltazar Viana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adhemar Sampaio. The Rolante fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adhemar Sampaio should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nelsinho Bertassi in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adhemar Sampaio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nelsinho Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar Sampaio having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rolante's zone, Nelsinho Bertassi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adhemar Sampaio came out of the goal and Nelsinho Bertassi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, Rolante's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Viana came free, but Adhemar Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nelsinho Bertassi came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Bulhufas F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelsinho Bertassi couldn't finish the play. Bulhufas F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
