Vito Corleone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maria de Salles having to interfere. José Maria de Salles made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Juninho Pimenta sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute, Nando Lima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Suspiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Oliveira's Elder Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Lima in the 22nd minute of play. Ulysses Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Pedro Paranaense fired a really elegant long shot, but José Maria de Salles threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Lima in the 31st minute of play forced Oliveira's goalkeeper Elder Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardinho Siqueira during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Suspiro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Oliveira:s goal. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Juninho Pimenta put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of José Maria de Salles. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Vito Corleone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oliveira's supporters rose to their feet, but Vito Corleone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Maria de Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oliveira were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Suspiro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pedro Paranaense took the corner. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Suspiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juninho Pimenta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Oliveira's Mick Schumacher got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mick Schumacher struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. A wasted opportunity for Oliveira. 95 minutes into the match, Oliveira's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Lima came free, but Elder Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mick Schumacher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Oliveira had played much better football throughout.
