Spectators: 7201 (Terracing: 5402, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) Uruguai's Edson da Cunha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice moves Dedê Araújo could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Nico de Queirós however easily saved by the left post. Ronaldinho Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilmar Teixeira having to interfere. Ronaldinho Mazza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilmar Teixeira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Gilmar Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson da Cunha in the 10th minute of the match. In the 17thth minute of the game Edson da Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esmires Futebol's Gilmar Teixeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute, Uruguai's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dedê Araújo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Esmires Futebol booed when Uruguai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguai's zone, Dedê Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico de Queirós came out of the goal and Dedê Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nico de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game Edson da Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esmires Futebol's Gilmar Teixeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Edson da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Ronaldinho Mazza notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Esmires Futebol's Gilmar Teixeira. Gilmar Teixeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The wind increased when Gino Vides made the kick off in the second half. Uruguai's Nico de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedê Araújo in the 54th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Uruguai fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Esmires Futebol. Dário Paraibano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nico de Queirós. 3-1. After 63 played minutes Esmires Futebol got a freekick which was hit by Natã Loyola. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Ronaldinho Mazza sped through Esmires Futebol's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gilmar Teixeira. Dedê Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gino Vides scored 4-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nico de Queirós, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 81 minutes of play, Esmires Futebol's Dedê Araújo made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nico de Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! 86 minutes into the match, Uruguai's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Vides came free, but Nico de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcinho Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gino Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico de Queirós having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Esmires Futebol fully deserved thier win.
