An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Carvalho in the 26th minute of play forced INVICTUS FC's goalkeeper Magno Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juninho Andrade's late challenge caught a CF MILIONÁRIOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juninho Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes INVICTUS FC got a freekick which was hit by Juninho Andrade. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ernesto Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. CF MILIONÁRIOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Magno Vianna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute, Belmiro Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magno Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ernesto Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Loureiro in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Magno Vianna saved INVICTUS FC from getting behind. After 34 played minutes INVICTUS FC got a freekick which was hit by Juninho Andrade. Ernesto Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Magno Vianna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After 38 minutes INVICTUS FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elivélton Corrêa who took care of the corner kick. Ernesto Carvalho scored 0-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Magno Vianna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 44 minutes into the match, INVICTUS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Loureiro came free, but Magno Vianna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match CF MILIONÁRIOS got a corner. INVICTUS FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elivélton Corrêa ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to CF MILIONÁRIOS's Fellipe Costa getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The INVICTUS FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CF MILIONÁRIOS were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernesto Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anísio Nóbrega took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ernesto Bezerra. CF MILIONÁRIOS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, INVICTUS FC's goalkeeper Magno Vianna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Loureiro.
