The supporters of Taboco booed when Bacue EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th match minute, Bacue EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Pontes to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Taboco's Rubens Mendes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jefferson Lira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jefferson Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubens Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Taboco's Dieguinho Cavalcante got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 62 minutes, Gláuber Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bacue EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gláuber Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dieguinho Cavalcante hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. If Enio Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Taboco's Edu Donatello got a free kick in the 81st minute. 87 minutes into the match, Bacue EC's goalkeeper Jefferson Lira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dieguinho Cavalcante. 96 minutes into the match, Rubens Mendes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jefferson Lira, 0-2. Taboco's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
