Taboco's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubens Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wiliam Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 9th minute by Claudinei Luz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Koehler in the 13th minute of play forced Taboco's goalkeeper Donato Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If João Carlos Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wiliam Macedo was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Rubens Mendes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rubens Mendes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Wiliam Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubens Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Wiliam Macedo came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Taboco's Claudinei Luz. But to his dismay, Claudinei Luz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Gernando de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E. Donato Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doni Furtado, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Taboco's Rubens Mendes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wiliam Macedo. That made the score 3-0 after 38 minutes of play. After 42 played minutes Taboco got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Luz. Rubens Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. S.E. Paixão Verde's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rubens Mendes 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rubens Mendes to make the kick off. Donato Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Carlos Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Rubens Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Taboco's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gernando de Azevedo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rubens Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Taboco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.E. Paixão Verde the free kick. A collision led to Taboco getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Dieguinho Cavalcante hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudinei Luz in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wiliam Macedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Luz in the 80th minute of play forced S.E. Paixão Verde's goalkeeper Wiliam Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Emanuel Urbano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.E. Paixão Verde's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taboco the free kick. Emanuel Urbano kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Doni Furtado sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and S.E. Paixão Verde's Wiliam Macedo didn't even have to move. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
